Does jee mains only asks questions about topics mentioned in official detailed syllabus. as that is very less compared to what notes actually contain?????

Yes, JEE Mains questions are pretty much limited to the mentioned syllabus by NTA. But there were few instances where questions from previous years JEE Advanced also came as recent JEE Main questions. Hence you need to have a strong hold on the basics of the topics of the syllabus and master them gradually so that you can easily crack the problems of JEE Mains.
