Does my CBSE board percentage affect my selection or do i have to give the entrance examination
For admission in LLB course in DU, your board percentage does not matter. Firstly, DU provides only a 3 year LLB course which you can pursue only after you have completed an Undergraduate degree like BA , BCOM, BBA, BTECH etc in any field. You can't take admission in LLB course directly after class 12th. So for admission in Delhi University for LLB you need to complete a UG degree first. Admission will be based entirely on your performance in the entrance exam. Though your percentage in your undergrad degree will be considered for eligibility purpose. You need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in your UG degree to be eligible for DU LLB. After that your score and rank in entrance will be considered only.
If you wish to take admission in law courses directly after 12th then there are other entrances expect DU LLB like- CLAT, AILET, SLAT, LSAT, MHCET etc.
Best of luck
Hi Avar!
the selection procedure for DU is based on both the board percentage and the entrance exams as well.
The main problem arises with the board percentage cut-off as a lot of students are at the same percentage and similarly the cut off is very high. However there is a sepearte domicile quota and has furhur sub-divisons of different categories.
hope this answers your query,
cheers!
