Not necessarily in getting a seat OBC category has a much lower cutoff so if your rank falls under this category you can get a seat. So you need to get that rank. To can also get scholarship from the government and fee reimbursement.

Basically OBC certificate in ts aemcet is very important and helpful to get you a seat  easily during counselling as it  helps gives you more impact full  and best college  under  the category . also it willl help you to  get scholarship as well as fee reimbursement from government

however it is not necessary to carry OBC caste certificate during ts eamcet counselling
