HI,
No need to update caste certificate but It is advisable to renew OBC certificate periodically. Because diff govt. exam allows diff. time validity on the certificate.
One's caste is solely related to birth. One does not need to apply for caste certificate every year as her/his caste cannot change ever.
This is not like other certificates (income and domicile) where the documents are valid only for a span of three years as the information provided is subject to change.
