Does the high number of students affect the placement in CHRIST Bangalore for MBA
Hi Albin,
To look at it one way, a high number of applicants in any college considerably affects the placement ratio as for the limited jobs that the companies come with, the competition is very high. It is easier to qualify the aptitude test that qualifying the Group Discussions because there you really need to outshine the rest of the crowd.
Coming to Christ University, as an alumni and having an insight from various students, the MBA batch size is comparatively smaller than other institutions. Therefore, except for the fact that one really can't help if the company has only a couple of jobs to offer, overcrowding is not much of an issue. But yes, the companies do look for more creative minds and that would definitely limit the number of candidates they select if they do not find the students competent enough. On the other hand, for companies like TCS and WIPRO that usually come for a mass recruitment, there a higher chances of every 2 people out of 3 getting the offer!
I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to contact me for any more doubt.
