DRDO recruits engineers through SET exam as well GATE exam for the same post(according to my knowledge). If it is true then why is it? Is there any difference in both type of candidates?

Hello,
Earlier DRDO used to conduct a Scientist Entry Test (SET) on all India basis for the recruitment of scientists B posts.But now DRDO recruits through GATE exam only.
