During application time I forget to apply for Homestate Quota opportunity in WBJE Exam 2025. Presently, I have domicile Certificate ,how can I avail the opportunity of Homestate quota for counselling in wbjee 2025

Hello! If you did not apply under the home state quota during the WBJEE 2025 application process, you will not be able to change that now, as the category/quota details are locked once the application correction window is over. Even though you hold a domicile certificate, the home state quota benefit is only applicable if it was selected while filling the form. You can still participate in counselling under the general category, but the quota advantage will not be available this year.

You can do one thing during the WBJEE counselling registration and choice-filling period which is from 28 August –1 September make fresh registration and upload scanned copies of all required documents if they allow you will be able to submit your domicile certificate and claim reservation.

If it is not possible then you can appear for non-state quota in WBJEE where 10 percent seats are reserved for them.

Unfortunately, you cannot claim the Home State quota during WBJEE counseling if you did not select it on your application form. The WBJEE Board's rules state that certain registration details, including your domicile status , cannot be changed after the application is submitted. Even though you have a domicile certificate, you will not be able to use it to claim the quota during the counseling process.
