I guess you are asking about 2nd five year plan which focused on the development of the public sector and rapid Industrialisation and it followed the Mahalanobis model, it was an economic development model developed by the Indian statistician Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in 1953.The second five-year plan focused on industry, especially heavy industry. The second 5 year plan was launched in the year 1956.
The second 5 year plan was quite successful, it
resulted to increase the per capita income from Rs. 281 in 1956 to Rs. 331 in 1960-61.
