TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on December 31. It should be noted that there is no upper age limit for TS EAMCET .
If applying for admission into B.Tech in Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering and Food Technology, the candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31. The upper age limit for General category candidates is 22 years and for SC/ST candidates is 25 years as on December 31.
Qualifying Exam
Candidates should have qualified or appeared in 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optional subjects or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh
OR
Should have passed or appeared at the final year of the Diploma exam in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized equivalent to the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh
OR
Those candidates who are applying for B.Tech in Food Technology should have qualified or appeared in 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board as equivalent to the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh with any two or three of the subjects: Mathematics, Physical Sciences OR Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences.
Marks Required
Should have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in the subjects mentioned above in 10+2 or any equivalent examination (For reserved category the aggregate marks is 40%).
Nationality/Nativity
Should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or must be Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders.
The candidates should belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
Should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as set in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974
Local Areas
Andhra University (A.U. area) includes the Nagarjuna University area.
Sri Venkateswara University (S.V.U. area) includes the Sri Krishnadevaraya University area.
Osmania University (O.U. area) includes the Kakatiya University area.
Non - Local Areas
Those candidates who do not meet the above criteria will not be considered as non-locals.
PIO/OCI category candidates will be considered as under non-local category only.
A candidate will be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/OU/SVU) in the following cases:
If he/she has studied in an educational institution or institutions in such local area for a period of four or more consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.
During the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he or she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he/she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.
If he/she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
Local area where he/she studied for the maximum period out of a period of seven years.
OR
Where the period of his/her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.
If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to
Such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years.
OR
Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal to such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.
Candidates belonging to the PIO/ OCI category will be considered as under non-local category only.
Candidates coming under any of the categories given below will be treated as ‘Non-Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.
Candidates who have resided in the state of T.S./ A.P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.
OR
Candidates either of whose parents have resided in this state for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the periods of employment outside the state
OR
Candidates either of whose parents are employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.
OR
Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

There is no upper age limit is TS EAMCET however candidates must have completed 16 years of age at the time of admission.
For BTech Dairy, Agro and FT engineering candidates must have completed 17 years of age and upper age limit is 22 for all, 25 for SC/ST
