Engineering
Hi
No, it's not necessary to do M.Tech after B.Tech. You can go for a job after completing your B.Tech in your stream. If you don't want to go for a job, you can choose to pursue M.Tech or other courses like MBA, M.S (from India or abroad). This will add to your profile and can help you get a better package. You can also go for Defence exams after B.Tech or apply for NITIE, it provides management courses for engineers.
You can also opt for research and lectureship after completing your M.Tech.
To be able to enrol for M.Tech, you will have to appear in GATE entrance exam, which is the biggest exam at post graduate level for engineering.
If you qualify GATE with a good score, you can :
-
Go for PSU recruitment through GATE else,
-
Study in reputed engineering colleges.
