Explanation of refraction of light by huygens theory of secondary wavelets

According to Huygens’ principle, every point on a wavefront acts as a source of secondary wavelets. When light enters a new medium, its speed changes. Due to this change in speed, the wavelets bend, causing the light ray to change direction. This bending of light is called refraction.
