Halophiles i.e a type of Archaebacteria are known to live in extreme saline condition. Archaebacteria are best known for their survival in harsh conditions.
Archaebacteria are able to do so because of the presence of branched lipid chain in their cell membrane . The branched lipid chain in their cell membrane reduces fluidity of cell membrane. It include halophiles which are exclusively found in saline habitats.
