For CSE what is the ground reality of academics and placement rates
Computer Science Engineering has changed significantly over the past years. It’s still high-paying job, but no longer an easy route to a job. College curricula, especially in Tier-2/3 institutes are generally lagging behind industry needs, so CGPA alone doesn’t ensure placement. Self-learning and real coding skills matter more now with the introduction of AI.
A degree now only lets you apply, not prove ability. Top institutes still place well but with tougher selection, while mass recruiters hire fewer freshers. Basic roles are shrinking due to AI, pushing students toward “Full-Stack Plus” skills like DevOps or AI.
