If you want to appear in JEE entrance test, you need minimum 75% in your 12th boards to apply for JEE ( for both mains and advance ). As per the guidelines, it is not necessary to be a topper ( in boards ) or to be in the top 20 toppers list ( in boards ) to appear in JEE entrance exam. Anyhow, If you clear your mains exam then only you're applicable to appear in advance test.
