For nit admission can I give improvement in one subject to cross 75% in cbse , I read on som website now top 20 percntile will consider only

hello aspirant,
you are eligible for private and some state government colleges if you have marks less then 75% in 10+2 aggregate in physics, chemistry, mathematics . however for nits and iits you need to have 75% in 10+2. yes you can give improvement exam to become eligible for nits and iits. in nits and iits counselling improvement marks certificate are allowed.
