Hello Aritra,
JEE Main is one of the most competitive and difficult exams in the country. And the difficulty level is not just because of the complexity of questions asked, but also because there are a lot of questions that are asked outside the 10+2 syllabus of most board exams. Now NCERT books are good for board exams, and also for building preliminary concepts. But to take your preparation to the next level and be competitive at JEE Main you will aslo have to read other advanced books.
If you need some book suggestions and how to go about your Chemistry preparation, here are some ready-made tips: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-preparation-tips-for-chemistry
Regards
It is not only enough to read ncert books for chemistry. You have to take any other book for solid preparation.
So all the best.
