for taking b.arch in any NIT through JEE MAINS paper 2 (b.arch) , is it also necessary to qualify in paper 1 (b.tech) ?

I would like to inform you that it is not necessary to qualify JEE MAIN paper 1 in order to get admissions in B.Arch courses through JOSAA counselling. Both the exams are separately conducted. You can appear for the counselling through JEE MAIN paper 2 and apply for B.Arch courses.
