For taking up biotech engineering, is studying biology for 2 years in puc compulsory?

No biology is not compulsory for engineering students

No there is no compulsion as such.People who take PCM are eligible to take BIOTECHNOLOGY.You have to give JEE MAINS and then according to marks you will get the branch whether it be mechanical,civil ,biotechnology,etc.
