For what posts I can apply for NDA?

Through NDA exam you can enter Indian Air Force, Indian Army or the Indian Navy as a cadet for training.

After NDA written exam and SSB interviews and fitness tests you can pick which force you want to join based on your merit.

Based on your exam result you will then get an SSB call from one or more of the three forces, then you can pick which force you want to enter.

In the Indian Army, after completing your training at NDA you join force at the rank of a LIEUTENANT, in the Navy your first rank is SUB-LIEUTENANT and in the Air Force it is FLYING OFFICER.

And then with time and good performance you ascend up in ranks in the force.

It’ll be important to note here that the fitness test in SSB is rather vigorous and a lot of health issues like colour blindness render a person unfit for the Indian Air Force. Even things like limb length discrepancy; flat foot etc can be grounds for ineligibility to join the forces.
