From where and how I should start my preparation for Gate Exam?

For any entrance examination, firstly you should be aware of the syllabus and the exam pattern. So get to know the syllabus for GATE which is the B.Tech/ BE course in general.
If you're self preparing I would recommend you to start with Engineering Mathematics as it builds up the base. You can also join any coaching Institute or purchase an online course for the preparation of GATE.
