To issue a gap certificate you have to go to a district court or to your lawyer or legal advisor. You will sign an affidavit and this legal affidavit will be issued by the Court which will be considered proof of your Gap Year.

If you want to apply for a Gap certificate then you have to go district court then a legal affidavit will be issued by the court which will be considered as proof for the reason for which a student has taken gap.
The documents required for Gap certificate are:
- ID Proof (PAN Card/Aadhar card/Voter ID/Driving license)
- School/College leaving certificate
- A letter from the last educational institute (Authentication declaration)
- Residential address proof
- Citizenship proof
- Marksheet of last qualifying exam
