General Aptitude in a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) includes Numerical Ability and Verbal Ability.
Since Psychology is present at almost all the IITs, qualifying for the GATE exam can help you get admission at Category A Institutions. And soon, other universities will accept GATE scores for securing admissions for PhD.
