If your JEE Main rank is 1,48,500 , then getting a Mathematics & Computing (MnC) seat in NITs, IIITs, or other top government colleges through JoSAA is unfortunately very unlikely. Most MnC programs close at much lower ranks. For example, recent closing ranks for MnC have been around 33,000–72,000 in the more accessible institutes offering the branch.
That said, you still have a few options:

Look at state counselling colleges in your home state.

Consider related branches such as Mathematics & Computing in private universities.

Explore CSE-related specializations, Data Science, AI/ML, or IT in private colleges.
Participate in both JoSAA and CSAB counselling, as occasional vacancies can arise.
