Also let me tell you one thing, don't focur on highest or even the average packages at NIT's. They can mislead you easily. Always rely on the mode or the max no. of students getting the package.

But still answering your question

1. With lower NIT's like NIT Patna, NIT Jamshedhpur, NIT Goa etc

Avg CTC (package) - 5.5-6 Lac per annum

2. For mediocre NIT's like NIT bhopal, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Jaipur, NIT Hamirpur

Avg CTC - 6-7.5 Lac per annum

3. Now the big 4 ie NIT Trichy, NIT Suratkal, NIT Warangal and NIT Allahabad

Avg CTC - 6-8 lac per annnum.

Note - the NIT's are arranged on the order of the placement recruitment stats submitted by the NIRF.
