Good afternoon Sir I have secured 510 Marks with 40936 AIR in NEET 2025 could i get admission in Govt. medical college in Gujarat with Gujarat domicile ?
You got 510 marks in NEET 2025 with an all India rank of 40,936 and you have Gujarat domicile. You are from EWS category.
With 510 marks, your chances of getting admission in a government medical college in Gujarat are very low.
In Gujarat, the cut off marks for government medical colleges under the EWS category usually stays around 608 to 618 marks. Even in GMERS government colleges, the closing marks for EWS is about 607. So your score is much below the expected cut off.
That means you may not get admission in any MBBS government college in Gujarat through the state quota.
But since you qualified NEET, you can still apply for counselling and try for private or deemed medical colleges. You can also explore options like BDS, BAMS, BHMS or paramedical courses where the cut off is lower.
You should take part in Gujarat state counselling (ACPUGMEC) and fill all choices carefully. You can also try for private colleges or other courses in medical field.

Hello,
th 510 marks and AIR 40,936 , it is difficult to get an MBBS seat in a government medical college in Gujarat under the state quota for the General category .
Most government colleges in Gujarat close admission at much higher scores (around 630+ marks). For example:
-
BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad usually closes around 670+
-
Baroda Medical College around 640+
-
Jamnagar, Surat, Rajkot also around 630+
So, with 510 marks, your chances for MBBS in a government college are very low
-
Still apply for state counselling (ACPUGMEC) – sometimes seats may be available in mop-up rounds.
-
You may have better chances in BDS or AYUSH courses in government colleges.
-
You can also consider private medical colleges under the state quota
Hope it helps !
Hello,
As you have scored 510 marks and AIR 40936, your chances of getting a government MBBS seat in Gujarat under State Quota will mostly depend on the category you belong to General, SC/ST, SEBC, EWS and the cutoff trends this year.if you are from General category, the government college cutoff in Gujarat under 85% state quota usually goes above 540–550 marks. So 510 might be slightly lower for top govt colleges like BJMC Ahmedabad or Government Medical College, Surat. However, if you're from a reserved category (SC/ST/SEBC) or EWS, then you have a better chance.
You should participate actively in state-level counselling through ACPUGMEC Gujarat, keep track of round-wise seat allotment and cutoffs—sometimes lower-ranked colleges in later rounds open up and also look into semi-government/self-financed medical colleges with scholarships for domicile students.
All the best for your counselling and thank you for asking!
Hello Aspirant,
Thanks for reaching out!
With 510 marks in NEET and a Gujarat domicile,
Your chances of getting an admission into a govt college in Gujarat largely depends on your category. For general category candidates, the cutoff for state quota is usually higher 550-580 above,so your chances are low.If you belong to a reserved category such as SC,ST,OBC,EWS,a score of 510 may fall within the acceptable range and you could have a fair chance depending on the specific college and seat availability. In conclusion, admission is unlikely for general category but possible for reserved categories based on merit and seat allotment
