Got selected in Nird PGDRDM course , can anyone tell about placement , job profiles and suggestions for whether to join or not ?

Congratulations for your selection to NIRD! The management programme run under the Ministry of Rural Development broadly devoted to developing capacities of rural development, NGOs and rural reserach and consultancy. This programme aims at creating efficiencies in rural projects and enhancing value of the government run-projects. This is also among the best specialised programmes and a very few of the management programme available  in India. You interest will, however, should determine your final decision as without a passion for devoting your energies in development of rural areas, you may not be able to utilise the theories you learn during the programme.

The placements are also good at the institute. Renowned NGOs and state as well as central government hire students from the institute for medium and long term projects. Also, the students are also hired by consultancy firms to do reserach in the areas of rural development.
