The roots of Harappa Civilization or Indus valley Civilization basically starts to come on peak in around 2600 BC. Basically in that time farmers stay a either on the mountain . They eventually faced lots of problem in the time of winter and summer. So the Civilization starts when the farmers started to migrate from mountain to valley in the month of winter and summer. They found the best place for farming as well beside the river of iravati. That's how Harappan civilization starts.

There are some theories about the ending of Harappan sabhyata. Some says the climate change is the main challenge for them because sometimes the sources of water get dried which forced them to migrate. Some says that lots of floods happens regularly in the time of monsoon which is the result of collapsing of various buildings.
