Fees at IITs and NITs vary across different institutes. For IITs, the Tuition fee is fixed at INR 2,00,000 per year i.e. for Two semesters excluding Mess fee and Hostel rent and other Gymkhana fee which is different for different IITs and it is between 20,000 to 50,000 per year for different IITs.
If you belong to SC/St category then full tuition fee is waived. For others whose family income is less than 10,0,000 per annum full fee is waived. For those whose annual family Income is between 1,00,000 to 450,000, 2/3 tuition fee is waived.
All the students are entitled to Interest-free loans.
At NITs tuition fee is fixed to 1.25 lakhs per year. and Hostel rent and Mess fees are variable.
