It is a very ambiguous question to ask in QnA, I do know some of my friends who have locked in choice for JoSAA 2019. Most common scenario until now is to see the results of mock allotments and do the necessary changes before locking the choices. As most aspirants want to be sure about the chances of getting a particular college and branch, most people wait till second last day before locking in the choices.
