Bachelors from Economics is a great specialisation and there are so many things that you can pursue after it. Let me offer my two cents on some probable career options.

Bachelors from Economics is a great specialisation and there are so many things that you can pursue after it. Let me offer my two cents on some probable career options.
- You can do a Masters in Economics and sit for UGCNET JRF( junior Research fellow exam) and be an asistant professor in Economics and subsequently associate professor.
- You can prepare for MBA entrances such as CAT, XAT,IIFT,SNAP,MAT etc and complete your MBA and join the corporate sector.
- Also, you can sit for UPSC Civil Services exam and join the administrative services. Economics is a very good optional in UPSC Mains.
- You can complete your masters and then do PhD and become a research scholar.

If I want to go for UPSC IES, can I do it after master degree in IGNOU ( open)?
Yes sure. All you need is 55% in masters from any recognized university or college. And IGNOU has been established by an Act so it is absolutely alright.
