If you need a GENERAL- EWS certificate for your any academic related activity, then the EWS certificate that you will be required to furnish must be yours.

Also the photograph on the certificate will be yours and not of your father.

• The information that is required to be filled in EWS application form includes-

Name of the state govt., Name of the applicant, name of the father/husband, address, financial year, caste, and attested passport-sized photograph

• Applicants are required to enclose all the necessary documents with the application form. They must have following documents  at the time of filling of the application form-

• Aadhaar Card

• Id Proof

• Affidavit/Self Declaration

• Land/property documents

• Residential proof/Domicile Certificate

• Passport-sized photograph

• Other relevant documents

The documents required vary from state to state.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Reservation. The government has introduced a 10% EWS reservation for general category candidates. This is for all those candidates who are not covered under any reservations (such as OBC, SC, ST and except PH and Ex-servicemen criteria) and belong to economically backward sections.

And yes you will have to apply EWS Form on your father's name and also you have to use you father's photograph.
