Hello i am from Gen category and my rank in Mains is around 9000, which NITs i may get

Hello,
As per as your rank that you have mentioned which is around 9000,you will not be able to get a very good branch in a good NIT.You will either have to compromise in the branch or the NIT.You can get a computer science branch in a least prefered college or you can get a branch like biotechnology in a good NIT.You can go through the careers360 website to go through the closing ranks for the NITs.Thank You.

Generally,if you can work hard in the college in the first year,you will be able to change your branch even if you belong to least prefered branch, you will be able to change your branch to computer science.So it depends on you now to choose it.But once you enter a college motivate yourself to work hard every day.With a CGPA more than 9.8 you can change to computer science which is tough but you will be able to if you work hard.
