For clearing the mains exams you don't need to study everything . You only need to be thorough with NCERT completely in all three subjects . If you are able to that that , you can qualify it easily.

Basically,you will be 1st filling the form in class 12.For your preparations,get the syllabus first and understand what you need to study.For MAINS,understanding the theory part is essential and also solve a lot of questions.
After that,understand the topics you're weak in and further study them.
You approximately need 5-6 hours of study daily to get through with flying colours.
