hello mam by taking biology as an additional subject from NIOS shall i be eligible for neet 2021??? and one thing mam whtever be the judgement of SC in upcoming times my question is tht right now m 24 this july will be 25 so shall i ekigible fir neet 2021 if SC judgement is not in favour.plz tell

Vartika, we cannot predict the uture and more evn if it is a legal issue pending for judgement. At this point in time the Supreme Court has placed a Stay or the upper age limit and NIOS students not being eligible for NEET. As long as the Supreme Court passes a judgement in this regards, there will be no upper age limit and NIOS students can appear for NEET. Now there has been no hearing on this case yet. Any legal case has to go through the process of the defense lawyer and the public prosectutor defending their counsel and then they go for a debate and finally the Court passes a judgement. So far this hasn't happened in this case which means it will take a while. Though we do not know the actual time frame that it might take, we livr in hope as does the world. So we cannot guarantee you that the ruling will be in favour of the present criteria. But having said that, we can oly hope that the ruling is in the favour of the current criteria. And unfortunately if the Supreme Court is against this rule, you can still appear for NEET because the old rule says that the upper age limit is 25. And if you are turning 25 next year, you do have decent chances to appear for NEET.
