AIEESE ( secondary ) examination provides a support platform for all IIT and NIT students by granting them scholarships on qualifying the exam to pursue their career in engineering education. The eligibility criteria states that the candidate must have passed class 12th with minimum 60% marks from a recognised board of education, for all categories; or appearing in class 12th examination. The candidates whose DOB falls on or after 1 October 1994 can apply for the exam. You will get detailed information on this on the respective official website. Hope this helps.
