It is one of the most popular autonomous colleges of West Bengal. It has a 117 ranking by NIRF. The placement scenario is average. The average package offered to a CS/IT/ECE student is 3-4 lacs per annum. In recent year's the reviews of its academics haven't been very good. If you are an ECE student, you shouldn't expect a core electronic company to come during placements.

All in all, it is a fine institute. Not too good, not too bad.
