Hey folks!!,I want to pursue IAS ,I want a graduation, which might help me not only for IAS but also as a back-up,in case IAS doesn't help
Hi candidate, you can go for the graduation in Engineering field. As your first preference is IAS , the you can go for engineering. You can give more time for studies for IAS.
I hope it will help.
Thanks.
Hi Nanana, as per your request, you can choose to take Engineering stream as graduation itself, because it is one of the streams which can provide a safe backup even in case if the IAS aspiration fails. There are many engineers who purse IAS goal after graduation of B.E/B.Tech courses. B.E/B.Tech can also help in going around various streams of work domains like marketing, consulting, business development, core industry, IT as well. I am suggesting it because you are already picked up PCMB in 12th. Else you can also try to pick up MBBS as well but there are certain issues related because the course is high and also you need to practise well and out more efforts to be a doctor and then pursuing IAS is not as much advisable. So in my choice i would say pick up B.E/B.Tech course and then try for IAS side by side. All the best
One thing you need to keep in your mind is that it is not the stream or course per se but your approach which will help you get through IAS examinations. The basic eligibility criteria is graduation from any stream or equivalent degree. There are several optional subjects related to different streams which make it an equal opportunity game for candidates from every stream.
When it comes to back up,there is no course that would vouch for a well-settled career.Everything ultimately depends on your hard work and dedication. You may take up graduation and later go for higher studies and then can become a professor or scholar. You may go for technical degrees like engineering since you are from Maths background. You may even go for Medical related fields like MBBS.So it would be a sort of back up.
It doesn't matter which stream you are from with a good preparation you will achieve your dream of becoming IAS officer.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Another help, can u suggest me few courses in which ,I can give more concentration for the IAS ,rather than the course I selected (I don't mean I won't study much of the course I selected)rather for which I can give less attention at the same time do good in that too...
Few or any course ma'am.
Thanks
