For getting admission in any of the engineering exams in India, there are some set of examinations in certain colleges, they act as entrance exams, by writing these you get yourself into your desired college. For example, there is IIT and NIT(BEST ENGINEERING COLLEGES OF INDIA), for these, there are two entrance exams- JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. If you qualify these two exams and gain a good rank, there are chances for you to get in these. Similarly, there is BITS, VIT, SRM, MANIPAL and many other institutes through which you could complete your engineering graduation.

• There is different eligibility criteria for taking admission in different engineering entrance exam. The must eligibility for every entrance exam is to pass class 12th.
• There is additional eligibility criteria for different exam.
• For IITJEE
• The candidate must have studied Maths,Physics,Chemistry in 12th level examination.
• The candidate must secure at least 60% marks in their examination for General and OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates.
• The candidate can attempt JEE only twice in a year, one with 12th class.
• The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.
• Candidate should get 50% in PCM in class 12th.

Inorder join engineering you need to write some entrance exams of deemed universities or your respective state entrance exam or some college admission are also through your 12th class marks

For getting Admission in Good and Reputed engineering college you have to give  entrance exams which are taken every year ,I am listing the exam names which you can give to  get good colleges .

1.Jee mains & Advance : For IIT'S ,NIT'S and GFTI'S (Many state government colleges and private colleges(Such as DA-IICT,Gandhinagar) also accepts the score of Jee Mains & Advanced exams a must give exam for all engineering aspirants...)
2.BITSAT : For BITS Pilani and other Bits campuses such as Goa etc.
3. WBJEE : For state government and private colleges present in West Bengal state (Good colleges are there in West Bengal such as Jadavpur University,IEM,Heritage etc.)
4.CUSAT : For Cochin university of science and Technology,Kerela (A good centrally funded university with good reputation)
5. Comedk : For more than 200 private institutions present across Karnataka(Many good colleges like Rv, MS Ramaiah, BMSIT are in this list)
6.SRMJEE : For SRM university's campuses

7.VIT Entrance Exam : For VIT's 3 campuses

8.Your state entrance exam : You can also give your state entrance exam which will fetch you private and government colleges across your state.
