hey there, as my original EWS certificate is online generated so its not self attested. How to get it self attested before scanning and uploading??

See if you have online generated EWS certificate then you can take a color print of the document and sign it by yourself. Then you can scan it and upload it on the portal where you need to upload it.
The eligibility for the EWS certificate are:
- The annual income of the family of candidate should not exceed 8lakh per annum.
- The family should not hold 5 or more than 5 acres of land.
- The family shouldn't have a residental area more than 1000 sq feet.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

Doing that would be compatible with CAT 2021 guidelines? Like do they accept self attestation through that process, It won't create any chaos in the future or won't it get rejected right?

If you have the online ews certificate then you have to follow this and there are no subject objections mentioned in CAT notification. Apart from this you can visit your DM office and you can get a hard copy if there is any process to follow.
