For NDA, the 12th-appearing rule generally allows students who are in Class 12 to apply, but the exact eligibility is based on the notification for that particular exam.

For your DOB 4 February 2010, you should not rely on age alone for NDA 2027. UPSC will specify the exact date-of-birth window in the NDA I and NDA II 2027 notifications. The 2026 cycle had separate NDA I and NDA II notifications, so the same pattern is expected, but the 2027 DOB limits must be confirmed from the official notification.

If you are in Class 12 during early 2027, you may be able to apply for NDA I 2027 as a Class 12 appearing candidate, provided your DOB falls within that notification's prescribed range. Your Class 12 certificate does not normally need to be available at the application stage; the important thing is that you meet the qualification requirement by the prescribed stage.
