Hi Can you give the information about National Means Cum Merit Examination
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a centrally sponsored scholarship scheme designed to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections and encourage them to continue their education after Class 8. The selection examination is conducted at the state/UT level.
Generally, students studying in eligible government/government-aided/local-body schools can apply, subject to the eligibility conditions prescribed by their respective state or UT. The examination generally consists of Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
The scholarship is provided from Class 9 onwards, subject to continuation requirements and applicable government rules. Since the application dates, eligibility conditions and examination schedule are announced separately by each state/UT, students should check the latest notification issued by their State Education Department.
