hi ....i am a Mecanical student and i want to serve to my nation but not as a soilder ...so i just want to ask that .which govt. exam should i go for...and ya its not compulsary that only with mechanical ...i can deal with the other stuff too.

see in indian army or indian navy many times recruitment comes for engineers, however there is many post is available as intelligent officer, office superintended etc in many government offices, also there is recruitment comes from upsc civil services, staff selection commission etc, however you need to decide whether you want to join technical or non technical profile, and you need to prepare accordingly since questions syllabus and structure is different in both the ways.
