Hi, I had a doubt in JEE marks calculation that how are marks calculated. Please guide me how much total marks I could get if I have attempted 49 questions overall and out of which if I consider all my 15 numerical type questions to be wrong and if I consider 10 MCQ question to be wrong.
As per the latest JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions, 25 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates have to attempt only 75 questions. Each subject will have 20 MCQs and 10 numerical questions and students have to attempt only 5 of them Numerical questions don't have negative marking.
If you have attempted all the numerical types incorrectly then there will be no negative marking for it. For mcqs 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer. So you attempted 34 mcqs out of which 24 are correct which will get you 24*4 = 96 marks and you have 10 incorrect mcqs so negative marking will give 96-10= 86. Therefore your final score will be 86 out of 300.
