In order to pass the JIPMER examination students must pass the examination by meeting the minimum qualifying criteria. The criteria includes -


• General - 50%


• OBC - 40%


• Schedule Caste - 40%


• Schedule Tribe - 40%


The marks to be acquired should be -

1- Unreserved : rank 1 - 156 (puducherry campus)  ;  rank 190 - 978 (karaikal campus)


2- OBC : rank 13 - 51 (puducherry campus) ; rank 64 - 240 (karaikal campus)


3- Schedule Caste : rank 13 - 53 (puducherry campus)  ; rank 59 - 318 (karaikal campus)


4- Schedule Tribe : rank 3 - 14 (puducherry campus)  ; rank 17 - 74 (karaikal campus)
