Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and reputed field of engineering.
In simple terms, mechanical engineering is the study of objects and systems in motion.
Mechanical engineering combines creativity, knowledge and analytical tools to complete the difficult task of shaping an idea into reality.
If you are a mechanical engineer then you have to design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as refrigerator or air conditioners. Also you have to design other machines like elevators or lifts in buildings.
Now, no doubt India has a scope of mechanical engineering, but not that much scope like Germany and US where the demand of mechanical engineers are very much.
Now every engineering field is best in their own perspective and their own terms. Mechanical engineering is best in it's own Field.
Now if you will compare CSE branch with Mechanical Engineering then obviously CSE branch is much better than mechanical engineering in terms of placements and work loads.
Also in mechanical engineering you will have a lot of competition in National level entrance examinations like Gate and ese in comparison to other engineering branches.
In India nowadays, there is not much trend of Mechanical Engineering.
So if you want best engineering branch then you should go with aeronautical engineering as it is one of the most trending and demanding branches of India currently.
But remember that : mechanical engineering is not just an engineering branch, it's a passion, it's a great profession and if you like this branch and study well then it will become the best branch for you if you succeed by studying this branch.
