The eligibility criteria for MBA in general is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized  university securing 50% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, admission is done through various entrance test conducted at various level such as

so depending upon the B-Schools in which you're seeking admission it may be entrance test based or without it, now the release date of application form isn't same for all, for example IIMs accept CAT score which is conducted at national level, however it's not just restricted to IIMs only, there are various other private and government colleges which accept CAT score, I have already mentioned above regarding MBA entrance tests,

there are few exams which are conducted in many sessions, and for rest of others it's conducted only once a year, depending upon the norm of the admission, you need to appear for entrance test followed by group-discussion, written admission test(if any), interview etc,
