Journalism has the better and wide scope over advertising. adverstising has now common these days According to me you should go for journalism without any doubt.

Also in journalism there is a wide scope and exposue whereas advertising is limited to particular segment like promoting a brand, company or product, and commercial adds.

Starting salary of a reporter is 12,000-18,000. Editors earn 35,000-40,000 and get other perks like housing and travelling concessions and security even .

In advertising :
Fresh graduates- INR 9,000-15,000 and the salary can go upto 30,000 depending upon the ad. agency, they are working with.

So, now choice is yours.
