Admission Alert : MBA @ Dayananda Sagar University. NAAC A+ Accredited
Hello,
With a PGCET score of 43 and being a GM (General Merit) candidate from another state, your chances of getting into a top-tier government college in Bangalore are limited, as seats in these institutions are very competitive. Government colleges prioritize Karnataka domicile students, and very high cutoffs are expected for GM category. You might still get a chance in lower-tier government-aided colleges or private colleges with good reputation. It’s advisable to consider:
- Bangalore Institute of Technology
- PES College of Engineering (non-autonomous)
- Siddaganga Institute of Technology (Tumkur)
Also, be sure to check KEA counselling rules for Non-Karnataka students.
Best of luck!
Hello Sakthi
With a score of 43 in PGCET, GM category and other state student, your chances of getting a government college in Bangalore is pretty low because the cutoff for your category is usually higher (55-70 marks).
Also, Karnataka state reserves more seats for the home state candidates so your chances are minimal. However, you could try for aided and private colleges.
