The Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme(TFWS) provides highly subsidised techincal education to backward and disadvantaged students and women. This rule was to be applied to engineering and hospitality courses.
Eligiblity:
Those students whose annual family income is less than Rs. 6 lakhs from all sources are eligible to apply through TFWS.
Apart from the tuition fees, all other fees must be paid by students. Tuition fees is exempt.
Once enrolled in a course under TFWS, students are not allowed to shift or change courses.
