To be true it is easy to prepare for mains with 12th . Just all you have to do is just pick up some mains books for maths and physics and try as much as you can and learnt ncert line to line. You can easily score 180 by doing just this .

You should majorly focus on key fundamentals and most asked questions from last 5 year papers for Class 12th preparation, revise important chapters and try to have neat presentation while appearing for class 12exams to achive decent score.
Be completes with syllabus and have enough time for revision to score above 75% aggregate which is must for Admission into IITs and NITs.
As far as JEE Mains is concerned, you should focus more on mock exams, solvibg atleast 20 is the key to score well.
Post exam, you need thorough Analysis of your mistakes and the right approach needed to solve them.
You should focus on weak areas which needs improvement and practice and then take up mocks accordingly.
Make sure you thoroughly complete NCERT books.
